Gram panchayat president shot to death in Vijayapura

UNIDENTIED MISCREANTS killed the Gram Panchayat president of Devara Nimbargi Village in Chadchan Taluk, Chadchan Taluk in Vijayapura Region on Wednesday, September 3, 2025.

Bheemana Gouda, who came to a barber shop, was attacked by a 3-4 wrong group. According to the eye witness accounts, he threw pepper dust before he escaped from the motorcycles and shot him many times.

He was injured in the victim and his chest. He collapsed in his place. The villagers shifted him to a private hospital in Vijayapura, where he was declared that he died.

Bheemana Gouda had a criminal history. Gangster was a known partner of Mahadev Byargonda. Inspectors suspect that the attack is an act of revenge.

CPI SURESH Bendegumbal, Praveen Gerebal and other officers and staff visited the place.
