Bolivia voting to elect new president and parliament

A new chairman of about eight million Boliva is going to the polls to vote for the parliament.
Opinion surveys show that conservative opposition candidates are the leaders – after almost 20 years of left rule, the change of power seems possible.
The political scene was characterized for months with the power struggle between former president Evo Morales and his successor Luis Arce.
Outgoing President Arce does not want a choice again, and Morales is carried out by the court order.
Bolivia, one of the poorest countries in South America, is struggling with a deep economic crisis marked with foreign exchange scarcity, fuel scarcity, inflation and increasing public discontent.
This discontent can increase the opposition, where former conservative President Jorge Quiroga and businessman Samuel Doria Medina is seen as leading contestants.
On the left, Senate President Andrónico Rodríguez and former Interior Minister Eduardo del Castillo are considered the most promising candidate.
The observers expect that no candidate will reach the necessary majority in the first round of the vote on Sunday. On October 19, a tour selection is planned.
The winner will take over the presidency for a five -year period in November.
