The Supreme Court has relaxed the ban on Diwali firecrackers in Delhi-NCR, allowing green crackers from October 18. Blasting is allowed between 06.00 and 7.00 in the morning and between 20.00 and 22.00 in the evening. Authorities emphasized moderate use to protect the environment, with police patrolling to ensure that only crackers with QR codes were sold. Shooting fireworks from outside will be banned and licenses for counterfeit products will be suspended. GRAP-1 restrictions remain in place to protect clean air.
