In the dusty strips of the Kasara village of Gujarat, Kankrej Taluka in Banaskandha region has become the voice of welfare. The 65 -year -old Maniben Jesung Chaudhary turned the modest cattle hut into a cooperative -guided success model. Mrs. Chaudhar, who provided approximately 1,100 liters of milk per day to the cooperative community of Patelvas (Tasara) milk producers, won the second place in the prestigious “Best Banas Lakshmi” category of Banaskandhha in 2024-25 and sold 3.47 lakh liters of milk.

In 2011, only a dozen cattle, Mrs. Chaudhary’s herd now grew to 230, including Banni, Mehsani and Murrah Buffaloes, HF cows and domestic kankrej breeds. His family plans to add another 100 buffaloes this year by aiming to switch to 3 Crore in milk sales. In addition, Badarpura received a recognition certificate at a recent general meeting in Banaskandha.

Mrs. Chaudhary’s youngest son Vipul said, “We are moving well in this field with appropriate guidance from Banas Dikay. In 2011, we had only 10 to 12 cows and buffaloes growing more than 230. 140 adult buffaloes, 90 cows and approximately 70 molds, this year we planned to buy 100 more buffets.

Currently, about 16 families are associated with Mrs. Chaudhary in livestock activities. While cow and buffalo milking are carried out with the help of modern machines, family members actively contribute to all aspects of the work. Vipul said, “Three brothers are graduates and they are completely participating in this work. As long as income in animal husbandry continue to rise, many young people will be encouraged to take this profession.”

It is ruled by about 4,150 women from 16,000 dairy producer community and there are more than 11 lakh members throughout the state. Only in Banas Dikay, women maintain both self -confidence and community prosperity and supply over 50 milk per year.
