21-year-old college grad has applied to ‘200 to 300 jobs’ since fall

A difficult year for young graduates looking for a job.
Reign in one of the slowest rates in the last decade, Louis Federal Reserve Bankand according to the displacement company, business cuts increased by 47% each year Challenger, gray and Christmas. According to Glassdoor, the entry -level workers’ confidence is at the lowest level of all time.
Katherine Diep21 does not allow him to drop him, even if he spent about a year in his own business search. Diep graduated from California University in June with the degree of business economy from Irvine, and since autumn, “has applied for 200 to 300 jobs.”
At that time, although he interviews for five jobs, he says he’s not yet hired. Here is how the job search journey is and how he can keep his head upright even with these frustrations.
‘Personally activities, AI cannot really do this’
Diep is currently looking for activity marketing works in San Francisco Gulf Region. It is also looking for remote activity marketing works for Middle West -based companies.
Orum I get some more chance of them, or he says.
The competition focused on him. He heard that the labor market from the employers was flooded by both the last undergraduate students and the masters of job seekers. And the equally memorable thing is the possibility of changing the location of the workers with AI.
At the beginning of the application process, “I was trying to make a brand and maybe more back -end marketing,” he says. But “AI was a little crawling in my mind and I went back to events because I feel like face -to -face events, AI can’t really do it.”
Is my character wrong?
Even if Diep hosted what he wanted to do, it was an emotional journey.
At the beginning of the process, his trust was high. “I can kill him and they can hire me on the spot,” he felt. But when he began to refuse, he became less sure of his ability to get into a job. This was true because it began to refuse especially after interviews.
At this point, he says, “They saw how I am as a human being as a character.” He said, “Is my character wrong?” He would ask.
Among the most difficult parts, it is constantly exposed to everyone’s success. “While shifting in LinkedIn, because this is the place you are applying for,” he says, “It is inevitable to discuss other people to discuss others and their new jobs”. And he still reminds him where he was in this process.
‘I probably get a rejection every day’
Diep remained optimistic because it was partly accustomed to torment. “Even so far, I probably get a rejection every day, or he says. They don’t bother him as much as before. “Only normal.”
Recently, he has made a second interview for a marketing role and hopes to move forward with it. In the meantime, “I will try to keep myself busy and work on my skills,” he says.
Diep is currently volunteer in Massoldly, a non -profit organization that focuses on strengthening women to step into leadership roles. In addition, women are marketing for a start that offers an application that helps to protect birth control programs.
“A company is ready to issue applications until I see my value”.
