Hannah Spencer’s speech in full as Greens win Gorton and Denton | News

Newly elected Gorton and Denton MP Hannah Spencer apologized to her customers in her victory speech following the Green Party’s historic victory in the by-elections on Thursday (27 February).
The 34-year-old plumber-turned-MP became the party’s youngest MP after collecting 14,980 votes and overturning Labour’s majority.
Ms Spencer lives in Trafford and in her job as a plumber renovates homes to make them more energy efficient.
In a message to clients, he said: “I’m telling my clients, I’m sorry but I think I may have to cancel the job you’ve booked because I’m going to Parliament.
“And when I get there, I will make room for anyone who does work like mine.
“We’ll finally sit down at the table.”
