Woogenellup crash: RAC rescue helicopter sent to help teenage girl trapped in car after crashing into tree

The RAC rescue helicopter is flying to a serious crash at Woogenellup in the Great South region, where a young girl was trapped in her car.

Emergency services were alerted to the crash on Knight Road, east of Mount Barker, at 12.04am on Saturday.

The vehicle left the road and crashed into a tree “at a high rate of speed”, according to a Fire Emergency Services spokesman.

It is estimated that the young driver was stuck in the vehicle.

Four crews from the Albany and Mt Barker fire and rescue services were sent to assist.
