Harry Maguire signs Man Utd contract extension

Former captain Harry Maguire signs one-year contract extension with the team Manchester UnitedIt is offered with an option for another year.

The 33-year-old defender’s current contract was due to expire at the end of this season.

Maguire was transferred from Leicester City to Manchester United for £80 million in 2019.

He made 266 appearances for United, winning the League Cup in 2022-23 and the FA Cup the following season.

Maguire has enjoyed a resurgence under interim boss Michael Carrick; He has started all 10 matches since his mid-January appointment, having previously struggled for playing time under Ruben Amorim, and also missed eight matches due to a thigh injury.
