Harvey Willgoose’s mum calls for killer to be named

The parents of a school child who was killed by a student at lunch called an order that protects the identity of the 15 -year -old killer.
Harvey Willgosese, who is also 15 years old, died when he was stabbed in his heart with a hunting knife at the All Saints Catholic High School in Sheffield On February 3.
Harvey’s murderer cannot be named because of his age. However, the BBC and other media applied for the abolition of anonymity order that preserved its identity.
Harvey’s mother, Caroline, told BBC that her son’s name was “darkened” throughout the hearing: “He could not speak for himself and was named for him. The defendant must be.”
Harvey’s murderer was found guilty of murder at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday.
The trial judge Mrs. Justice Ellenbogen is expected to decide whether the 15 -year -old child will remove the order when convicted in October.
Parents who founded a youth club in memory of Harvey reiterated their previous calls to establish knife belts for schools.
“Take the knife belts in, then educate children about the pure destruction of the knife crime,” Mrs. Willgosese said.
“Children know that there is a knife in schools. Something needs to be done.”
Mrs. Willgoose, who has been campaigning against the knife crime since her son’s death, added: “If you don’t think it’s a problem, ask if they know anyone who brought your child a knife to the school.
“I think parents would be very interested in their answers.”
Ms. Willgouose said that her son had avoided school because he was afraid of the knives in schools because of the anxiety caused by the coronavirus pandema.
Harvey’s father Mark said that the family had previously met with Minister of Interior Yette Cooper to discuss the issue.
The hearing heard that the school attended by both children was locked before the fight between the other two students was stabbed before they were killed, To claim that one of the students involved in the fight against the defendant is armed.
Although there is no weapon, Mrs. Willgosese said that her son warned the family about the students carrying a knife.
Orum I hate to be known as a student who stabbed him, ”he said.
“I didn’t even want him to go to school that day, I wasn’t annoyed. He was determined to go.”
