Heartbreak as UK pizza restaurant goes into liquidation – in business 8 years | UK | News

A beloved pizza shop has collapsed into administration. Pizza Authority Ltd, which operates a restaurant of the same name in London’s Brent Cross shopping centre, appointed a liquidator on February 13, according to a list in The London Gazette. The announcement was published yesterday. This news will be met with sadness by regular customers as the business has received positive reviews online.

Customer Blend Gashi wrote a month ago: “This place is nothing short of amazing, the atmosphere here is like no other. I am greeted very positively by the staff and they are very attentive. I go to this amazing cafe about 3-5 times a week and so many memories are added every time I go there. I highly recommend this amazing place.”

Big Bossi gave the restaurant five stars for food, staff and atmosphere. They wrote: “The food, the workers and the overall atmosphere are great.”

Another customer, Florjan Shehu, wrote: “This place is amazing, I go almost every day and spend time with my friends, the coffee is great and the food is out of this world.”

But not all were completely satisfied.

One reviewer wrote: “I have never been this unhappy with a business in my life, the customer service was terrible and the food was terrible, better explore other options.

“I’m terribly dissatisfied. The overall atmosphere is very unwelcoming and uncomfortable.”

This development is listed as a voluntary liquidation of creditors; This is a formal process initiated by a firm’s directors to shut down a bankrupt company that is unable to pay its debts.

An insolvency practitioner is usually appointed to sell the company’s assets and distribute funds to creditors.

The appointed liquidator is Zane Collins of Insolvency One Limited, based in Leeds.

These were chosen by members and creditors, The London Gazette said.

The Express has contacted the Pizza Authority for comment.
