Bill Maher Stunned By Audience Member Cheering Don Lemon Arrest: ‘It’s Not Good!

BILL MAHER: Viral video out of Maine, ICE guy takes this woman’s license plate picture and says, why are you removing my information? I think it’s on tape because they have this quote: “Because we have a nice database and you’re now considered a domestic terrorist.”

This is exactly what fascist governments do. Whenever you are a protester, you are actually an enemy of the state and we are arresting you. This is what is happening in Iran right now.

They arrested Don Lemon.

AUDIENCE MEMBER: Yes!

Someone said, “Yes,” like it’s okay, I don’t know. I don’t know. (audience groans) It’s no good arresting him! I don’t know.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I will say it violates the FACE Act. He attended a church, disrupted its services, and later compared them to white supremacists in an interview. This is not journalism. This is activism. I had an experience with Don Lemon.

BILL MAHER: What, does it warrant arrest?

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: To disrupt a worship service, to interrupt people’s right to worship God, that is a violation of the FACES Act. Under the Biden administration, lifers who prayed in front of an abortion clinic were sentenced to up to 11 years in prison and convicted under the FACE Act.

So I don’t think this is journalism, this is not First Amendment harassment of people in the middle of church. And, you know, Don Lemon came into my office with the Tesla-destroying guy who organized this, and we had to call the Capitol Police.

BILL MAHER: Okay, but can we accuse him of not being cool, man?
