Heavy traffic reported along major thoroughfare in Forestville after fallen tree downs power lines

Chaotic traffic conditions broke out on a major Sydney street after power lines were downed, bringing traffic to a standstill.
A warning of heavy traffic conditions was issued by Live Traffic NSW for Warringah Rd between Ferguson St and Darley St in the suburb of Forestville at 6.38pm.
Emergency services and NSW Transport personnel are attending the scene.
It appears that a tree fell behind the Roseville Bridge, knocking out power lines.
In an update just before 8pm on Wednesday, NSW Transport said Warringah Road was open in both directions at Forestville after fallen cables were repaired.
All westbound lanes and two eastbound lanes were closed. One westbound lane remains closed for repairs.
Live Traffic NSW is urging people to use caution and “expect delays”.
More to come.
