Doctor rushes from witness box to help as woman collapses during murder trial

Dr Charles Bouvier, a consultant pediatrician from Great Ormond Street Hospital, gave evidence at the murder hearing of a couple accused of killing their three -month -old daughters.
On Thursday, a discomfort erupted in the public gallery.
A puppy officer shouted “OI, and a jury began to shake wildly as a gray -haired woman who observed the case collapsed.
Judge Mark Lucraft asked for a break and Dr Bouvier ran to help the tight woman in the gallery.
When the court reunited, Judge Lucraft observed: “This was unexpected.”
He said to the jury members: “He did the right thing by using his medical skills and joining a lady in the public gallery. Good news, absolutely good.”
“You never know what will happen in the court. There was a medical emergency and 99% better than other courts in the country with a consultant children’s child doctor.”
Judge Lucraft told Dr Bouvier that he was “beyond his call for duty”.
The witness answered: “We are pleased to help.”
When the court was taken to hospital on July 8 last year, influencing his head, he heard about how it was in the child protection plan of Kalani.
In addition to a broken legs and ribs, he also suffered from disaster brain injuries and died in the hospital after 15 days.
Kaylani’s parents, 35 -year -old Herbert Kalarzi and Eastern Ham, 24 -year -old Nazli Merthoca from the Eastern Ham are accused of murder and causes his death.
In his evidence, Dr Bouvier confirmed that both parents had rejected that Kaylani had been shot or shaken before he was taken to hospital.
After his partner was arrested on July 10, a speech was asked with Merthoca.
The defense lawyer Ben Aina Kc said: “He was very angry to be in custody. Loudly, he felt unjustly accused of his baby’s condition, that he was a victim or harassed it.”
Dr Bouvier said: “Yes, that was my impression during the conversation.”
Registration Officer Pediatrician Dr. Ashwin Mahtani gave evidence about his interaction with Merthoca, who accused Great Ormond Street of being a “White Superior Hospital”.
Dr. Mahtani said to the jury members: “We questioned him and intensified his PTSB.”
The defendants reject the accusations against them and the Old Bailey trial was postponed until Friday morning.
