Trump Scolds Red State Lawmakers For Defying Him

President Donald Trump criticizes Gov. Mike Braun and two state senators after Indiana refused to move forward with redistricting plan he called.

“Indiana State Senate Republicans led by RINO are very disappointed [Republican-In-Name-Only] Senators Rod Bray and Greg Goode for not wanting to redistrict their States and allow the U.S. Congress to gain perhaps two more Republican seats,” Trump wrote in an op-ed. Real Social post Sunday.

“Democrats have been redistricting for years, often illegally, and every other eligible Republican State has done so, too,” Trump continued. “Because of these two politically correct ‘gentlemen’ and a few others they may be depriving the Republicans of their majority in the House, IT’S A HUGE JOB!”

Trump also criticized Governor Braun, whom he described as “my friend,” for “not working properly to get the necessary votes.” HE He claimed that Braun “couldn’t be Governor without me (Not even close!).”

Representatives for Braun, Goode and Bray did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s requests for comment.

Trump’s post appeared after Braun announced Friday that his chamber would not meet in December to vote on redistricting because there wasn’t enough support to pursue such efforts.

Braun’s announcement followed Months of pressure from the White House Making Indiana the next Republican-led state to roll out new congressional maps that will favor GOP candidates 2026 elections.

Trump concluded his post with a warning to Republicans who oppose redistricting in Indiana.

“Senators Bray, Goode, and the others who will be made public this afternoon MUST DO THEIR JOB AND DO IT NOW! Otherwise, let’s remove them ASAP.”
