Federal Reserve Governor Adriana Kugler announced on Friday that he resigned from his role in the Central Bank and that President Donald Trump pushed lower interest rates at a time when he forced his lower interest rates.
In a letter addressing Trump, the 55 -year -old Kugler did not specify a reason for the separation decision, but in the autumn he would return to Georgetown University as a professor.
Kugler, “Federal Reserve System Board of Directors was honored to work for a lifetime.” “I am honored to serve our authority to reduce prices and keep a strong and flexible labor market, especially for a critical period.”
Kugler’s term of office will end at the end of January 2026. Biden candidate attended the Governor’s Board in September 2023. As a governor, he served as a permanent voter at the Federal Open Market Committee, which sets a price.
His resignation now paves the way for Trump to put his own candidate in the Governors Council. Christopher Waller and Michelle Bowman, two of the previous appointments, voted against the decision to keep the lock rate of the Fed at a meeting on Wednesday, and showed that they wanted to reduce it.
Late Kugler, Trump’s tariffs on inflation until it becomes clearer, generally expressed the views of Sahin.
