Hillary Clinton to testify to US Congress over Epstein

Former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton will testify before the US Congress regarding the scandal surrounding convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Initially, Hillary Clinton, 78, is expected to testify under oath on Thursday, followed by questioning of her husband and former president Bill Clinton, 79, on Friday.

According to US media, they will be questioned via video link, not in Congress in Washington.

These are expected to be closed sessions, so it’s unclear how much information will be made public.

Hillary and Bill Clinton refused for months to testify before the US Congress about the investigation of the Epstein case.

Democrats accused James Comer, the Republican chairman of the relevant House oversight committee, of conducting a politically motivated investigation.

Their agreement to testify in early February led Republicans to cancel a vote against the Clintons in violation of congressional procedure, according to US media reports.

Bill Clinton’s name and images appear in documents related to the Epstein investigations.

However, there is no point in mentioning it alone.

The former president has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing regarding his meeting with Epstein.

For years, Epstein ran a molestation ring that victimized dozens of young women and minors.

The New York financier had excellent connections with US high society.

He died in his prison cell in 2019 before a conviction could be reached.
