Himanta Biswa Sarma says Muslim population in Assam to touch 50% by 2041

Speaking with the media people in Dibrugarh in Upper Assem, Sarma said, “According to the 2011 census, 34 percent of the population is a minority, so there are 3 percent domestic Muslims and 31 percent of Muslims migrating to Assam. So if you reflect this according to 2021, 2031 and 2041, 50 percent.”
“Empirical data and past census records show that ASSAM’s minority population will be close to 50%after a few years.”
Muslims, 3% of the local Assam Muslims, Assem’s 3.12 Crore population constitutes 34%, and the rest often bengallians Muslims.
Sarma, “in areas where they may be unprotected to give weapons licenses to the domestic community, we facilitate the current process,” he said.
The Assam government has previously announced that the government will give arms licenses to indigenous people living in “vulnerable and remote” areas. To deal with illegal threats from hostile neighborhoods in vulnerable areas.
He said that this decision was taken after examining the “demand” of people living in these regions. “Assam is a very different and sensitive situation. Asseming people living in some regions feel insecure and have been demanding arms licenses for a long time. The government will be soft to the appropriate people who should be the original residents and belong to the vulnerable and distant regions of the state.
Prime Minister, Dhubri, Morigaon, Barpeta, Nagaon and South Salmara-Mankachar, Goalpara-Regions are the locals, especially after the developments in the neighboring Bangladesh, they suffer from insecurity and these people can be targeted in the other side of the border and even targeted in their villages.
“Native people are a small number in these areas. So if people from these areas seek a license, the government will liberally provide them. This will provide protection for our people in Dhing, Rupohi and Lahorighat. And from these places, the local people will not have to sell to different places. This movement will provide them confidence.”
The state government is preparing to make a evacuation drive at Uriamghat in the East Assam on the Nagaland border.
