Limp Bizkit founding member and bassist Sam Rivers dies at 48 years old

Sam Rivers, bassist and founding member of Limp Bizkit, has passed away. He was 48 years old.
On Saturday, the nu metal band featuring vocalist Fred Durst, drummer John Otto, guitarist Wes Borland and DJ Lethal announced the death of Rivers. Instagram.
“Today we lost our brother. Our bandmate. Our heartbeat,” the statement began, along with a photo of Rivers performing on stage. “Sam Rivers wasn’t just our bassist; he was pure magic. The pulse beneath every song, the calm in the chaos, the soul in the sound. From the first note we played together, Sam brought a light and rhythm that can never be replaced. His talent was effortless, his presence unforgettable, his heart immense.”

“We shared so many moments — the wild ones, the quiet ones, the beautiful ones — and each of them was more meaningful because Sam was there,” the statement continued. “He was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of person. A true legend of legends. And his spirit will live on forever in every groove, every stage, every memory.”
“We love you, Sam. We will always carry you with us,” the statement concluded. “Relax, bro. Your music never ends.”

A representative for the group did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
Accordingly vocal cordRivers previously explained his reason for leaving the group from 2015 to 2018.
“I developed liver disease from excessive drinking,” he reportedly wrote in his book “Raising Hell: Backstage Tales From the Lives of Metal Legends.”

“I had to leave Limp Bizkit in 2015 because I felt so bad and then a few months after that I realized I needed to change everything because I had a really bad liver disease,” Rivers added. “I stopped drinking and did everything the doctors told me. I received alcohol treatment and had a liver transplant, which was a perfect fit.”
