Historic moment King Charles prays alongside Pope Leo

King III. Charles prayed with Pope Leo during the King’s visit to the Vatican.

This was the first time in five centuries that the British monarch, the Supreme Governor of the Church of England, and the leader of the Roman Catholic Church prayed together.

The prayer was performed in the Sistine Chapel, where Queen Camilla was also present.

The royal couple’s state visit formed the backdrop to a difficult week for the monarchy as questions persist about her brother Prince Andrew’s links to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
