Shadow War: Zionist doctors keep relentless pursuit of Israel “dissenters”

Zionist doctors continue their campaigns against healthcare professionals who criticize Israel’s behavior towards Palestinians. Wendy Bacon investigates.

Five weeks after attending the Palestine Justice Movement forum in Sydney, Professor Peter Macdonald remains at home, away from heart transplant patients at St Vincent’s Hospital and his laboratory at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute.

Macdonald asked a question at the forum in which he shared his view that Israeli intelligence agency Mossad may have been responsible for two antisemitic attacks. He described himself as a cardiologist but did not mention St Vincent’s Hospital.

Antisemitism? St Vincent’s heartless treatment of questioning cardiologist

Macdonald was the subject of a secret workplace investigation and cannot defend himself publicly, while public attacks against him and others continue.

These doctors include Associate Professor Jeremy Goldin, a respiratory and sleep physician at St Vincent’s Private Hospitals in Melbourne. According to him LinkedIn profileGoldin is Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Melbourne, a specialist at private Breathe West clinics in Melbourne’s West, and a contractor for medical technology company Compumedics.

Jeremy Goldin

Goldin is one of three members of the Alliance to Combat Antisemitism in Healthcare (AAAHC) who signed a letter calling for Macdonald’s immediate dismissal and investigation.

Goldin uses her LinkedIn account to share both developments in sleep medicine and pro-Israel propaganda.

Around the time Goldin filed her complaint against Macdonald, Honest Reporting reposted a video on her LinkedIn account on Instagram. Honest Reporting is an organization that describes itself as “Israel’s sword and shield” in the battle to control the media narrative in favor of Israel. It is internationally funded but headquartered in West Jerusalem.

The video host asks the question: “What do the Israeli offensive in Gaza, the Emmy Awards, and the UN Commission report finding that Israel committed genocide have in common?” The answer to the question is “Always lie”. The media “takes lies and wraps them in credibility.” He claims that UN Commission’s finding Allegation that Israel committed genocide “erases the truth” and is “an election without a choice”[s] Words to make them sound authoritative.

Three months ago, Goldin reposted a post claiming there was zero exemption to Hillel Fuld’s “If someone claims the IDF deliberately killed a civilian, it’s a 100% lie” rule. Fuld was refused a visa to visit Australia. incite hatred.

Ron Grunstein

Goldin also reposts content from her ally’s LinkedIn account Professor Ron Grunstein. Grunstein uses this name Ron G. It’s on his LinkedIn account, but he’s known through his photos and detailed resume. He had an honorary title He has been practicing respiratory and sleep medicine at St Vincent’s Hospital for 28 years and is currently He is Professor of Medicine at the University of Sydney, honorary professor at Macquarie University and principal investigator at the Woolcock Institute.

Grunstein believes that if you are anti-Zionist or critical of Israel, you are anti-Semitic.

“From my experience, I can assure you that, on the surface, these are anti-Semites who do not want to acknowledge the centrality of Israel in Jewish life,” he wrote in a submission to the NSW Parliamentary Committee on antisemitism in August.

Grunstein also combines his professional medical content on LinkedIn with pro-Israel posts; one of them denies reports that Israel is bombing hospitals, the other denies reports of hunger and malnutrition in Gaza.

Goldin and Grunstein reposted an Honest Reporting video accusing the media of publishing ‘fake news’ about Israel attacking help seekers at Gaza Humanitarian Food distribution centres. These reports verified. Grunstein also noted that humanitarian aid was “flowing into Gaza.”

Grunstein, Dr. Hussam accused Abu Safiya of being a “physician terrorist.” Abu Safiya is a pediatrician who runs the Kamal Adwan Medical Center in the Gaza Strip. While he was being evacuated, he reported Israel’s attacks. He is currently incarcerated in the Sde Teiman detention facility, where he was exposed. torture.

New attacks on doctors

Ian Lisser is Industry Officer for the Australian Salaried Paramedics Federation (ASMOPH). He uses his LinkedIn account to publicize industrial issues and issues of national and international interest for medical and other healthcare professionals.

Lisser is Jewish and signed on to the Jewish Council of Australia last year expression We oppose the Israeli occupation and the prioritization of the rights of the Jewish people over the rights of the Palestinians.

Three weeks ago Lisser posted: MWM Macdonald’s story. He highlighted the “interesting questions” that concern him. “For me as a professional, the biggest question this and other recent cases raise is how codes of conduct and complaints policies can be weaponised against medical staff, the lack of due process and the lack of procedural fairness. This occurs regularly within NSW Health.”

Grunstein later objected to his use of his LinkedIn account and the following change The event in which Lisser laid out the scenario raised by the Macdonald case took place.

Goldin later agreed: “Best to focus on healthcare workers’ working conditions rather than airing a propagandist’s confirmation bias on a non-“media” platform.” (A reference MWM and writes.)

Lisser commented: “Given the revelations about weapons of mass destruction, children falling overboard, sports corruption and robo debt, psychiatrist salaries, caravan bombs and cancer services, I would be cautious about accepting any statement from a politician (in government or elsewhere).”

Goldin adopted a heavier tone, asking Lisser: “Using your LinkedIn to promote conspiracy theories…..how do you think this will play out for you?”

Lisser explains his perspective once again: “As for the article, in my view it’s not primarily about Dr. MacDonald’s question, but about the consequences for him and the public health system of expressing his opinion, whether you agree with him or not. It’s also about the weaponization of institutional codes of conduct and grievance policies, and it’s also about how institutions draw boundaries between the private, the public, and the professional.”

Goldin then states that Israel’s “so-called Genocide” against the Palestinians, whose existence was established by the United Nations Commission of Inquiry, is a fantasy. asks Lisser:

“Can you defend genocide in an evidence-based way, rather than quoting conflicting sources using Hamas Ministry of Health figures and Al Jazeera reports? Non-confrontational critical thinkers who make evidence-based decisions and understand the biases of people and figures know that your concept of this so-called genocide is a fantasy.

“This is being used as an excuse for antisemitism. It’s a fantasy where hateful groups step back, change the definition, and look for confirmation bias to justify their views. It doesn’t meet the basics of evidence-based thinking. Based on your post and the media you searched, I would suggest you have little to no knowledge of the subject, are drawing conclusions, and are, to put it politely, biased! What the ASMOF membership would think and I wonder if your position is valid. Maybe we could enlist AAAHC for its advocacy in this area?”

MWM he thinks the last words may have been a warning that Goldin would mobilize the AAAHC against Lisser. Following this comment, we asked whether the Federation had received any letters of complaint from AAAHC. ASMOF declined to comment. MWM asked Goldin if AAAHC against Lissr has been activated and will update if a response is received.

St Vincent and pro-Israel donors

Goldin and other AAAHC members accused Peter Macdonald of promoting “false, divisive and racist conspiracy narratives.” They demanded “immediate suspension … an independent investigation and, if the facts are confirmed, the termination of his relationship with St Vincent’s”.

St Vincent’s administration appeared to meet their demands by issuing a statement explaining that Macdonald’s comment reflected antisemitism, racism, bigotry and hatred.

They refused to answer questions about why they were biased on the issue.

MWM has previously reported on St Vincent’s extensive connections with pro-Israel donors and its little-known partnership with Israel’s Shiba hospital.

A new collaborative relationship was established two weeks ago. clarified St Vincent’s director and general counsel Pat Garcia flew to Melbourne to meet with representatives of Israel’s Hadassah health organisation. Held at the St Kilda Shule and hosted by Rabbi Glasman, the Catholic Archbishop of Melbourne Peter Comensoli, Hadassah Chief Psychologist, Dr Dhiri Ben David and board members Hadassah Australia.

Hadassah Australia meeting

Following the meeting, Hadassah Australia released a statement: “We are grateful to Pat Garcia, who flew in from Sydney just for this meeting, for joining our dialogue and helping to lay the groundwork for the professional collaboration that will give practical expression to this commitment we share. And we are grateful, especially now that we understand the importance of such collaboration.”

Hadassah Australia provides funding for Hadassah hospitals in Israel. It is affiliated with the Women’s International Zionist Organization, which opposes recognition of the state of Palestine. Hadassah Australia is part of a network with the Jewish Medical Association and AAAHC. Last year, they held a joint event at which Israeli medical expert Professor Mark Clarfield spoke.

MWM He questioned Garcia about whether linking up with an Israeli organization affiliated with AAAHC would increase the perception of bias already created by St. Vincent’s previous media statement. St Vincent declined to comment.

largest single donation This initiative in Hadassah’s history was created with funding from Hadassah by the Gandel Foundation, one of Australia’s largest philanthropic foundations. Gandel Rehabilitation unit, “When it comes to supporting the people and the State of Israel, we have always considered it our duty and obligation to strengthen and assist the homeland,” Melbourne property developer John Gandel said at the launch.

Earlier, when launching Israel’s war in Gaza, Gandel told the Financial Review: “There is no choice. If they (IDF) do not go all the way, it means they are withdrawing. They cannot do it gently. I just hope.” [support for Israel] It’s not too bad. Obviously, there’s a pretty big Muslim or Arab element. [community]ready to jump.

Supporters of Israel, from doctors to philanthropists, aim to silence opposition to Israel. The question for St Vincent’s Health is: Is it prepared to dispense with the services of a top cardiologist to appease those who seek to achieve their goals by weaponizing antisemitism?
