Hoax bomb threat to Palakkad Women and Child Development office

The Office of Women and Child Development on the Robinson Road in Palakkad received a threatening e-mail on Thursday, August 21, 2025, and said that a bomb was erected as a protest against the officer accused of harassing children in the building.
The police bomb team came to the office and made a comprehensive search, but the explosives were not found. Women and Child Development Office were also searched in the collection. E -Posta claimed that the bomb was hidden as a lighter.
Regional Police Chief Ajit Kumar led the search operation supported by a bomb team and Sniffer dog team. Firefighters and rescue services personnel also released their collector offices and participated in the effort.
It was confirmed that the threat was a scam. However, it caused a two -hour deterioration in the normal functioning of the offices.
The Collector’s Income Department office had a similar fake bomb threat a few months ago. However, none of them were arrested in connection with this.
