At least 10 people shot at lake party near Oklahoma City, police say

At least 10 people were hospitalized with gunshot wounds following a shooting during a party at a lake near Oklahoma City on Sunday, according to police.
Edmond police responded to the incident around 9 p.m. Sunday evening after receiving multiple reports of shots fired at a gathering near Arcadia Lake, department spokeswoman Emily Ward said at a news conference.
No arrests had been made in the attack late Sunday, but Ward said there was no known threat to the public.

“We’re talking to victims and witnesses all over the metro,” Ward said.
In addition to the 10 people transported to hospitals by emergency responders, Ward said more went to hospitals for medical evaluations.
He said victims were admitted to hospitals “under various conditions.”
Ward said there was a large group of people believed to be young adults at the party where the attack was reported.

Authorities from the Edmond Police Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and other agencies responded to the area east of East 15th Street and Air Depot.
“Edmond Police, along with Oklahoma City Police and Oklahoma Highway Patrol, responded to the scene and located multiple victims,” the police department also said in a social media post. he said.
“Emergency personnel transported 10 victims to various hospitals in the metro area. The total number of victims is expected to change as additional individuals are transported to area hospitals. There is no update on the condition of the victims at this time. There are no suspects in custody,” the post said.

Arcadia Lake is located approximately 21 miles north of Oklahoma City in the suburb of Edmond. It is a man-made reservoir used for flood control and is also a popular recreation spot for fishing, boating, picnicking and camping.
