NSW Police charge man over opioid stronger than fentanyl

Health experts and law enforcement officers have repeatedly warned Nitazins about Australia’s infiltration of Australia, saying that they pose a greater threat than synthetic opioid fentanyl, which led to more than 100,000 deaths in the US but has no strong presence in Australia.
The intelligence collected by the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) argues that Nitazesenes was produced by pharmaceutical companies in China, where their production is prohibited before being sent directly to Australia or through intermediary countries, including the US and the UK.
The number of Australian deaths obtained from over doses of the opioid class reported in Southern Australia, Queensland and NSW is unknown. Since 2021, more than 20 people have died in Victoria in an overdose of Nitazesenes.

Earlier this year, NSW Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant asked the Minns government to see the pill test as a way to respond to the danger of Nitazeses.
NSW’s first addictive cases were reported at Fairfield Hospital in July last year, where four young adult patients who developed an addiction after breathing the illegal ferry fluid containing nitazen protonitazen were observed.

Dr. Hester Wilson, the head of NSW Health, said that any entertainment of drug users should carry the naloxone that can rapidly reversed the effects of opioid overdose.
“Opioid overdose symptoms may include precise students, drowsiness, loss of consciousness, slow breathing or snoring, or blue or gray -rotating skin,” he said.
“If you witness any of these symptoms after using medication, give a naloxon and call zero immediately.”
It is recommended that the public, who is concerned about a ferry product they use or purchased, should stop using immediately and receive medical advice and report suspicious products to criminal worship in 1800 333 000.
The defendant appeared in court on 2 August and rejected bail.
