A Russian father who killed his 13-year-old son by throwing him off a tourist boat in Thailand was sentenced to prison. The boy, Lucas Bugorskiy, was crushed by the propellers and received fatal injuries to his head and face.

More than 30 tourists watched in horror as 45-year-old Artem Bugorskiy grabbed the child by his legs and threw him into the sea. A court ruled that he deliberately threw her into the propellers following an argument between the popular Koh Ra duo in Suriname, according to reports.

A Thai court sentenced the father to 12 years in prison for killing the boy.

The boat’s captain “observed Bugorskiy rising from his seat, walking towards his son, Lucas, and grabbing the child by the legs and torso with both hands,” The Nation reported.

Then the boy got off the ship

“Then Bugorskiy jumped into the water after him.”

The captain pulled the seriously injured boy out of the water and he was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Reports said Bugorskiy changed after his Thai wife, the child’s mother, asked for a divorce and lost her job.

Following the child’s death, he was taken into custody and charged with “premeditated murder”.

When he appeared before a Thai television crew, he denied killing his son.

The Russian said in English: “Who killed my son? I kill? I don’t kill!”
