Horror as man ‘raped and robbed’ by another man in UK town | UK | News

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they want to track down following an alleged rape and robbery in Crawley, West Sussex. The victim, a man in his 30s, was reportedly attacked at an address in the town’s High Street in the early hours of October 15.

During the incident, the suspect allegedly stole the victim’s watch and money before fleeing the scene. Sussex Police said the victim was receiving support from specially trained officers while detectives continued their investigation.

They confirmed that police officers were carrying out extensive investigations to identify the man captured on CCTV footage.

Detective Inspector Becki Buckley said: “We are carrying out full investigations into this case and would like to trace this man. If you know who he is or have any information about him please contact us.”

A statement issued by Sussex Police urged anyone with information to come forward.

The letter said: “Detectives have released CCTV footage of a man they wish to trace in connection with a report of rape and robbery in Crawley.

“We received reports that a man in his 30s had been attacked at an address in High Street in the early hours of October 15, and that the suspect also stole his watch and money before escaping.

“The victim is being supported by specially trained officers. If you have any information that could assist our investigation, please report it online or call 101 quoting serial 119 of 15/10.”

Authorities are urging anyone who recognizes the man or may have relevant information to come forward and emphasize that all information will be kept confidential. While the police are tracking the suspect, they are continuing to work to ensure that the victim receives the support he needs.
