A road in a major British city was closed to traffic after a car crashed and overturned. Merseyside Police say they received a call at around 5.30pm on Saturday, November 22, regarding a crash involving a single car on Bedford Street South in Liverpool’s Georgian Quarter.
Following the incident, police teams came to the scene, assessed the situation and provided assistance. Pictures clicked at the scene show a car stuck in a gap leading to the front basement of a Georgian house. Police had closed the road between Canning Street and Sir Howard Street.
A force incident manager from Merseyside Police explained the incident to police. ECHO He noted that only one vehicle was involved in the accident and that the vehicle was placed in a particularly dangerous situation.
Traffic teams arrived at the scene and ensured safety by inspecting the closure of the road. Luckily no injuries were reported.
The vehicle involved in the accident was removed at around 19.30 with the help of special equipment. It is expected that the road will reopen soon and normal traffic flow will be restored.
