Host Manu Raju gave fair warning before showing the clip posted by the President of the United States.

A CNN host tried to deflect blame for airing a truly filthy AI-generated video by reminding viewers that her exploits on social media made the clip newsworthy. “I have to warn our viewers here on Sunday morning, this is being broadcast by the president of the United States,” channel mainstay Manu Raju said Sunday morning, before playing the clip featuring a computer-rendered, crowned version of Donald Trump flying a fighter jet that dumps mounds of excrement on crowds of protesters. Trump actually posted the video himself on Truth Social, and it was later shared on X by the official White House account the previous evening. The post was shared in response to more than 2,600 “No to Kings” demonstrations across the country and at U.S. embassies around the world. The protests were organized by opponents of what critics describe as the Trump administration’s rapid slide toward authoritarianism.
