Households throughout England are asked to put the orange shells in the windows, doors and boxes to keep spiders away.

Alternatively, you can make your own homemade solution with a few drops of essential oil by dipping the orange peel in boiling water and leave it overnight before transferring it to a spray bottle.

“Trawling insect is not a fragrant friend with citrus fruits and can be the most effective solution for your problem. You should just cut the shell in pieces and place it in a bowl with boiling water. Sink the orange peel overnight and place it on a bottle and spray spiders in places where they are usually stored.
“If you don’t have orange shells, you can use grapefruit and lemon. Regardless of citrus fruits, spiders don’t like it and you can use them to completely remove them.”
