DHS arrests 17 illegal migrants convicted of murder, sexual exploitation

FIRST ON FOX: The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has released a list of 17 illegal immigrants who were previously convicted of a range of charges, including the murder and sexual exploitation of a minor, were arrested over the weekend, and are currently detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
DHS released the names as part of its “worst of the worst” campaign, which exposes illegal immigrants convicted of serious felonies and crimes.
“As Americans celebrated the first night of Hanukkah at Christmas parties, the patriotic heroes of ICE law enforcement were selflessly risking their lives to apprehend the worst of the worst,” DHS Deputy Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “This weekend, ICE arrested murderers, pedophiles, and drug traffickers. This holiday season, Americans can be glad these monsters are gone from their neighborhoods.”
Some of the convictions included second-degree murder by Thai Lor, an illegal immigrant from Thailand, sexual exploitation of a minor by Benevenuto Walter Lopez-Alonzo, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, sexually explicit conduct with a child under 14 by Yovanny Dominguez-Herrera, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, money laundering and pimping of a minor by Chi Ying, an illegal immigrant from China. DHS said Patricia Judith Diaz-Angel, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, was 16 years old.

All 17 illegal immigrants were convicted of crimes they committed while residing in the United States.
The arrests come just days after the agency announced it had arrested more than 10,000 illegal immigrants in Los Angeles despite “violent rioters attacking our law enforcement officers, throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails at them, and attempting to prevent the lawful arrest of criminal aliens,” as reported by Fox News Digital.

Immigration officers and agents were greeted by rioters in Los Angeles over the summer, and many Democrats harshly criticized DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and the Trump administration’s approach to deporting illegal immigrants.

Noem and the Trump administration have stood firm on their campaign pledge to return millions of immigrants who crossed the border to their home countries under President Joe Biden’s administration.
“If you follow the law, you get opportunity. If you break it, you face consequences,” Noem said in a recent DHS ad.

DHS has not held back from boasting about the capture of dangerous illegal immigrants and even recently created a public arrest database.
The agency made a statement “worst of the worst” websiteIt was launched last week to provide detailed information about convicted violent criminals and pedophiles living illegally in the United States.
