Traffic restrictions in Delhi on Aug 16-17; check routes to avoid, diversions, timings and more

According to Delhi Traffic Police, rules and deflections will be applied in strategic places such as Captain Gaur Marg, outer ring road, Lala Lajat Rai Marg and Raja Dheer Sen Marg.

16-17 August Shri Krishna Janmashtami Festival Traffic restrictions for the Delhi Traffic Police announced. Considering the celebrations at the Temple of Iskcon in the east of Kailash, arrangements were made.

Delhi Traffic Police, “Kailash in the east of the Temple of Iskcon Janmashtami celebrations, detailed traffic arrangements have been made. VIPs and dignity, including numerous deeds are expected to visit a large number of dedicated temples.”

According to Delhi Traffic Police, rules and deflections will be applied in strategic places such as Captain Gaur Marg, outer ring road, Lala Lajat Rai Marg and Raja Dheer Sen Marg.

Traffic restrictions and route deviations will be applied on 16 August and 17 August at 08:00.

Traffic Consultation:

Delhi traffic police, dedicated and tourists public transport, especially called on the subway to reduce traffic. Those traveling by metro should go down to NSIC OKHA Metro Station and continue the temple throughout the captain Gaur Marg.

According to PTI, “People are asked to avoid driving and prefer metro or other public transportation to reach the place. Families should follow the traffic police instructions to prevent discomfort.”

It is recommended that travelers make travel plans in advance and comply with the instructions provided by local traffic police and road signs.

Between 16 August 08:00 and 17 August 02:00, restrictions and roads would be applied.

Goods vehicles are limited

During this period, the movement of goods vehicles will be completely banned on several important paths.

Mahatma Gandhi Marg (Inner Ring Road) Captain Gaur Marg Ring Ring Road passing drivers will be directed to Moolchand or Ashram. Modi Mill Flyover will be used as a deflection for vehicles leading to Captain Gaur Marg from the outer ring road.

Similarly, the drivers who went to Paras Chowk from the outer ring road would be directed to Chirag language or Modi Mill Flyover. Chirag Dileli will be the target of traffic guidance from Central School Flyover.
