Woman allegedly stabbed, assaulted man at hotel in Newcastle

A man who allegedly attacked and stabbed a young woman at a hotel in Newcastle has been taken to hospital.
Emergency crews were called to the hotel on Young St in Carrington at around 10.50am on Friday.
A 23-year-old man was found with stab wounds.
“He was allegedly attacked and stabbed by a woman,” a NSW Police spokesman said.
Paramedics treated the man before taking him to John Hunter Hospital.
He suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
A 22-year-old woman was arrested at the hotel. He was charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, stalking/intimidating with intent to cause physical harm and intimidation with intent to cause physical harm, and common assault.
He was due to appear before the Bail Division Court on Saturday.
