What a treat! Prince Louis’s delight after fan gives seven-year-old a big box of Lindor chocolates – as cheeky royal grabs gift from Prince William

Prince Louis couldn’t contain his delight after a royal admirer handed the seven-year-old a giant box of Lindor chocolates after a Christmas church service at Sandringham.

In a video filmed outside St Mary Magdalene Church on the King’s Norfolk estate, the young royal is seen taking the box from her father’s hands after telling well-wisher Prince William “these are for Louis”.

King Charles, 77, hosted the royal family’s annual Christmas celebration, attended by senior members of the royal family including Queen Camilla, the Princess of Wales, Princess Anne, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, and Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

After an hour-long church service, the royals greeted the public before returning to Sandringham House for the traditional Christmas dinner.

During one of Prince William’s interactions with a fan, they gave the future King a super-large box of Lindor chocolates in festive red packaging before he knew they were specifically for his youngest son.

At the sound of his name, Louis grabbed the box and turned a little, holding on to it, while William sweetly ruffled his youngest child’s hair while thanking the fan.

‘That’s very kind,’ he said.

Elsewhere, Princess Charlotte stole the show at Sandringham this morning; The 10-year-old daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales looked poised and elegant during the royal walk.

Fans also noted the close relationship between Charlotte and 11-year-old Mia Tindall, Zara and Mike Tindall’s eldest child, who were seen leaving church together.

Meanwhile, Charlotte’s younger brother Louis seemed delighted with the Christmas gifts he received from well-wishers; these included a large box of Lindor chocolates and a giant stuffed teddy bear that was seen wandering around.

It comes after Princess Charlotte was revealed to be the ‘secret’ star of her mother’s annual Christmas carol concert, which was broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX last evening.

The duet was filmed at the Inner Hall at Windsor Castle, and Catherine personally invited Mr Cooper to accompany them for the performance.

The award-winning musician, who wrote the track as a tribute to his mother, later spoke of the “incredible bond” between them while praising Charlotte’s talents.

After witnessing mother and daughter sharing the stage together for a joint performance, she said: ‘It was so beautiful. I guess I was there to offer some encouragement. So, imagine someone performing a piece of music in front of a film crew, who then writes it.

‘Princess Charlotte played beautifully, she has a really wonderful way of playing the lighter notes so beautifully. So we were able to celebrate it together.’
