How streamer AngryGinge went from living on a Salford council estate to becoming a millionaire at 23 – as he’s tipped to WIN I’m A Celebrity

When the I’m a Celebrity 2025 cast was announced last week, the question on almost everyone’s mind was: Who is AngryGinge?
That is, unless you’re under 25.
The 23-year-old Twitch streamer has become an icon of Generation Z, boasting more than five million followers on her social media accounts.
In recent years the program has been targeting a younger audience with the inclusion of social media stars such as GK Barry and Nella Rose.
Now ITV bosses hope internet personality Morgan Burtwistle, better known as Angryginge and Angryginge13, will draw a big crowd.
And before the series even started, Morgan was voted by the bookmakers as the first favorite to claim the title of King of the Jungle.

It’s an incredible achievement for the young star, who only started making online content five years ago when he signed up for Twitch, a livestreaming service where users can watch and stream content, often video games.
Users can monetize the site through channel subscriptions, ads, and Bits, a virtual currency that viewers can buy and use to show support for streamers.
Morgan filmed his first FIFA gameplay stream in October 2020, inspired by fellow streamer Castro1021.
His success didn’t happen overnight; Morgan recalled that it peaked at just 40 viewers on its first broadcast, which netted him £12.44.
A few months later, he decided to take a break from Twitch after “losing motivation” with his content only reaching an average of six and seven viewers.
But following his grandfather’s death from Covid in 2021, he returned to streaming full-time and has been uploading content Monday to Friday to get his name out there.
His persistence paid off and after expanding to other social media sites, he soon started earning thousands from the comfort of his bedroom.
In the past year alone, it is estimated that Morgan Between £804,000 and £1.1 million from social media.

Morgan, who was raised by his mother on council land in Salford, Manchester, said: indy100 On his success: ‘I think it went well because people can understand that I come from where they come from.
‘I come from a municipality and I know what they are going through and what they are going through and I can connect with them and get to know them more on a personal level.’
Her bio simply reads: ‘I’m a ginger. I have a joke, I have a smile, I’m sorry!
‘My real name is Morgan. I’m playing games or something. Come watch!! (The Main Purpose is to Entertain)’.
Morgan still lives in Manchester but was able to buy his own home last year.

After the game, he got into a fight with former Manchester City player Carlos Tevez and branded the player a “f*ck” online.
He was injured while making a powerful sliding tackle on the Argentinian, who was sure he had left something on him during the collision; He had a bad cut on his leg.
Morgan later shared a photo of the wound on his leg on social media, writing: ‘Cheers Tevez, damn it.’
As for Twitch, he later boasted that his show was signed by other Soccer Aid favorites and launched into the Cranberries’ rendition of Zombie.

Although he could not consider Carlos as a friend, he established a good relationship with Wayne Rooney.
The two got to know each other by watching the FIFA broadcast and became friends in a short time.
Morgan said of their bond: ‘The one thing I will say about Wayne Rooney is that he is absolutely brilliant, just a normal, down-to-earth lad and very funny, funny and he was my idol growing up.
‘It’s crazy that I even managed to go to his house and have a drink with him, let alone calm down and talk to him.’
He is also good friends with Britain’s Got Talent judge KSI (Olajide Olatunji) and last year appeared on the Netflix show InSIDE, a reality show hosted by KSI and members of the YouTube group Sidemen.
The series saw a group of reality stars and creators, including Love Island’s Chloe Burrows, Made In Chelsea’s Olivia Bentley and YouTuber Specs Gonzalez, compete in challenges to win £1 million for everything they buy or make in exchange for money from the prize fund.
Over the summer, Morgan also appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox alongside darts player Luke Littler.

But it did not remain unchallenged.
In July, Morgan and two broadcasters were arrested at the British Grand Prix after being accused of causing £30,000 worth of damage to an F1 car on display at Silverstone.
A police spokesman said: ‘On Friday 4 July, Northamptonshire Police received a report that a classic car on display at the Silverstone Circuit during the British Grand Prix event had sustained thousands of pounds worth of damage allegedly caused by someone accessing the display stand and climbing into the car.
‘Officers carried out initial inquiries and the suspects were identified.
‘Three men, aged 23, 25 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to a vehicle and taken into police custody.
‘Following a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the incident, all three men were released without further action.’
Pictures on social media showed AngryGinge being taken away by police at a fan event at the iconic track on Friday.
Chazza and SamHam, who were also pennants, were also accused of criminal damage to a BWT Racing Point F1 Team car; all vehemently denied this accusation.
Morgan touched down at Brisbane airport on Monday alongside rapper Aitch, real name Harrison Armstrong, who will join her at Jungle.
Now Morgan will be introduced to a new generation of viewers when I’m A Celebrity premieres on Sunday.
He will join model Kelly Brook and comedian-turned-mental health activists Ruby Wax, 72, in the woods.
The series also featured soap icons Shona McGarty, who played Whitney Dean in EastEnders from 2008 to 2024, and Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley, known for her role as Mandy Dingle.
Actor and Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp, 64, publicists Alex Scott, 41, Vogue Williams, 40, and rapper Aitch, 25, will attend.
Jack Osbourne, 39, is also set to enter camp just four months after the tragic death of his rocker father Ozzy.
