Secretary of State Marco Rubio can’t quite explain why he’s going to a UFC event in the middle of negotiations with Iran. During Rubio’s testimony before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday, Democratic Senator Jacky Rosen noted that Rubio watched UFC 327 with President Trump in Miami in April instead of attending talks with Iran in Pakistan. “I would like to remind the American people that your primary duty as Secretary of State, as America’s chief diplomat, is to maintain our relationships with foreign countries. So I was shocked to see that you were at a party with President Trump in Miami, instead of accompanying Vice President Vance to Pakistan for negotiations,” Rosen said, to which Rubio immediately took offense. “What party was I at? Was I at a party?” Rubio answered this. “It’s made public and there are photos out there,” Rosen said. Rubio was upset and accused Rosen of slandering him.
