How to add helpful prompts to Microsoft Excel cells

Did you know that you can leave grades in certain Excel cells for people to read? It is a great way to protect against data input errors by putting reminders or instructions. Here is how to establish:
- Click on the cell you want.
- Go to the top data tab.
- Click the data verification in the data tools group.
- In the window that opens, go to the login message tab.
- Mark the box that says “Show the login message when the cell is selected.
- Add a title (32 characters).
- Write your login message (255 characters).
- Click OK.
