Cousin Tony’s Brand New Firebird at the Corner Hotel; Coriolanus by Bell Shakespeare; Blood Wedding at Theatre Works; Moonlite by Homophonic! and The Consort of Melbourne

Before walking around a home party, Rose says “I will buy beer ve and the group is building something coward for the floor filler. Mercury is risingBringing back to the song Talking Heads, which puts the set on stage. They lose themselves in contagious and for a moment. There is no piece of irony, only six people under a groove.

Mention Love Heart Fracture Synth and some good heads live. This is a hit, smooth and wise with a clue. It may be at the summit of cousin Tony.

Coriolanus ★★★
Bell Shakespeare, Art Center Melbourne, until August 10

Melbourne theatrical actors should meet the chance to see a full bloody production. Coriolanus. However, at the Rising Festival in June, the experimental UK company is likely to be more pronounced by everyone who forcibly fell into the essence of the game by entertainment.

This show was part of the desktop version of Shakespeare’s complete works, and playing the graphics of Shakespeare using a narrator sitting at a table with only a series of home objects.

Although the device was strongly concentrated themes, it has eliminated acting – and any actor will go beyond a stove of a stove, a devil is expected to live in anger of an anger of a Roman kindergarten or in the anger of a scheme tribune.

Sank in Machismo, Production of Peter Evans Hazem Shammas as Coriolanus To the extent that Shammas appears in a war assembly, the blood of the hands, the body splashing and the life of life-casualties-Coriolanus as a kind of rambo, almost agile, unpretentious 20th century frame.

The hero of the action is in his element in war times. Performance politics is completely different, and the intrigues of the game (and the social inequalities behind it) are quickly demonstrated.

It is true that the people of the people’s tribes (Marco Chiaappi, Matilda Ridgway) are perhaps many clowns from time to time, but they do not try to compete with Peter Carroll’s Doddering Senator Menius – a cunning, wonderful touching funny performance that makes the softness of Coriolanus’s world in the softness of the world.

Considering a boiling and unpredictable depiction of Bigid Zenge in this production, Anathema for Shakespeare’s Kurt-Mother Volumnia.

In a bad way, the kindergarten son’s war -like abuse and injuries (wounds become almost totemic importance in the game), and at least some of Volmnia’s over -embracing of patriarchal values lies in the way that the child has solved the life.

Some of the best acting are between Coriolanus and Volumnia. Shammas’s Coriolanus is attractive to blame Coriolanus as a very abrasive and formless mold in the Bosphorus, and when you see what his mother looks like, the character is a perfect sense.

There are some discussions about this production. It is not a development to regulate the physical existence of a child outside the game; Coriolanus and his enemy Aufidius (Anthony Taufa) between the broom (or whatever) was so strangely handled that the abbreviation of the audience to him. An ideal response to the homoerotic subtitle.

Nevertheless, Shammas offers a dangerous, dark -loaded performance. With a few remarkable supportive actors in the community Coriolanus To remember.

This is an old story up to this time – blocked love, unrequited desire, inheritance hostilities. In the adaptation of Timjadadada Blood weddingSpanish playwright Federico García Lorca’s at least an old story until 1932 Bodas de sangreThe first of the three rural tragedies.

Janis Joplin’s Jaunty Part of my heartPlaying in Loop, greeting the audience while entering the auditorium, actress members walk around the stage and interact with the front row. This is an open -hearted start for something other than the game of Blithe. When the house lights go out, six of the seven players stand on top of each other, blindfolded, unaware of what will be vaccinated, weak to stop him.

Harry Gill’s set was divided into different spheres that symbolized the rival intentions and groups of a town on the edge of the mountain. On the left, on the bride (Teresa Gansiracusa) on her son (Jonathan Pindiura) (Teresa Gansiracusa), while leaving her, the death of her husband and the eldest son in the hands of Felixes, the mother (Tess Lynch Steele) is limited to the kitchen.

While Jessamine Moffett’s Garbing in Black is dancing around each other, the characters (metaphorically and physically) give true feelings, the real feelings of the centuries of the fights, except for each other.

The images are reflected on a screen that takes the stage back – some are more successful than others. The bride and groom are enlarged when taking each other into the apartment before the wedding affects, less, less, the permanent images of horses that return to the original text of Lorca, but feel irrelevant in this adaptation.

And for the excellent sound design of the whole game – IRMA Thomas’ Anyone who knows what love is (will understand) Book the game, especially a clever choice – actors are struggling to reflect their voices without the help of microphones. Mohamed Al Ziady, who is an impish devil on his shoulder and released among a narrator who knows everything, is talented in the previous one, so he is less capable of having the gravites necessary for the latter.

The adaptation of Deborah Leiser-Moore, honoring the surrealism of the source material with its beautiful choreography, Ardor and anger formations that break the scenario. The climatic fighting scene is particularly well balanced, “blood” is known in a new and unusual way.

A game like a heavy fate and an obsolete feeling Blood wedding Sometimes he may feel terrible, but there is still a lot to love about this skillful gradual adaptation.

Bushranger Andrew George Scott has long captivated Australia’s popular imagination and inspired the 2019 musical from the 1906 stage play. Some of Moonlite’s attractiveness is his devotion to James Nesbitt, whom he met in Pentridge prison. “Nesbitt and I joined every tie that could be connected, SC said Scott.

Excerpts from Scott’s death cell letters are married for Zajkowski’s poetic reflections of Sung. These scenes are occasionally ended for the solo Viola, which indicates the explicit time given by Phoebe Green.

Singer Katherine Norman, Elspeth Bawden, Kristy Pepper, Jack Jordan, Timothy Reynolds and Lachlan McDonald are empathic communications: Korale -like passages beautifully cling to many vocal effects, including Kuşsong, strength and voice axis.
