How US-Israel strikes on Iran unfolded in 90 seconds
While the United States and Israel carried out attacks across Iran on Saturday, US President Donald Trump later said that Iran’s religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had died.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Khamenei’s compound in Tehran was destroyed in a “strong, surprise attack.”
Iranian state media later confirmed Khamenei’s death.
Iran responded to the US-Israeli attack by launching missiles and drones at Israel and four Gulf Arab states that host US military bases: Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE.
