How you can join the Army, Navy, or Air Force through Agniveer Programme
What is Agniveer Program?
The Agniveer program is a short -term recruitment attempt to bring young men and women to the Army, Navy and Air Force. Under this scheme, selected candidates, called agniveers, serve for four years. After that, 25% of them can be absorbed to the permanent force based on performance, while the rest comes with solid output package and job preparation skills.
Who can apply? Confiation has been announced
To apply for the Agniveer program, you must meet the following basic criteria:
- Age: Between 17.5 and 21 years (with relaxations when announced in certain years)
- Education Competence:
- General Task: Class 10 Transition
- Technical: Class with Science Flow 12
- Clerk/store keeper: 12th grade in any flow
- Commercers: Class 8 or 10 transitions depending on trade
How is the selection process?
The election process is very gradual and competitive. That’s how it works:
- Computer -based online exam
- Physical conformity test
- Medical examination
- Document verification
Each stage is very important. Only those who perform well at every stage enter the last merit list and go to training.
What are the payments and advantages?
Agniveers earns an initial salary of 30,000 RS per month with annual increases. They also receive appropriations based on roles and shipments.
At the end of four years, those who leave the service receive a seva Nidhi package exempt from tax around 11.7 Lakh, a combination of the individual contribution and government match.
What happens after 4 years?
Two ways available after service:
- Permanent absorption: Approximately 25% of agniveers can be selected to continue full -time in the armed forces.
- Civil Career: Others are separated by a strong set of skills, certificates and preferences in various government affairs and special roles.
How to apply?
Applications are considered online through the official recruitment portal of the Indian Army. Accept rally notifications, exam programs and cards. Due to challenging competition, it is recommended that candidates start preparing early physical and written tests.
