Donald Trump Rages At Bill Maher, Says “It Was A Total Waste Of Time For Me To Have This Jerk At The White House”
Donald Trump returned to attacking Bill Maher on Saturday, almost a year after the HBO Real Time host dined with him at the White House.
The president took offense to some of Maher’s jokes and comments on Friday, including his prediction that China would shut down all hockey in Canada.

In a lengthy Truth Social post published on Saturday, Trump wrote: “Sometimes in life you waste time! TV Host Bill Maher asked to have dinner with me through one of his friends, who is also a friend of mine, and I agreed. He arrived in the famous Oval Office much differently than I thought he would. He was extremely nervous, had ZERO self-confidence, and immediately, within seconds, asked for a ‘Vodka Tonic’ to calm his nerves. ‘I’ve never felt this way before, I’m really scared,’ he told me. In a way, it was pretty cute! Anyway, We had a great dinner, it was quick and easy, he seemed like a nice guy and was very respectful of our meeting at his first show after our dinner – But why wouldn’t he, after all I’ve done to bring our country back from ‘OBLIVION?’
Trump wrote: “In any case, it was a complete waste of my time to do this shit in the White House, and last night, after explaining what a Canadian DISASTER ‘Leaders’ have to deal with, how Canada has been ‘robbing’ the United States on TRADE for years (But no more!), I jokingly remarked in FACT: “The first thing China will do is stop ALL Ice Hockey being played in Canada and permanently eliminate the Stanley Cup.” is to remove it.”
Trump also criticized Maher for saying, “He rode Maher’s hockey statement like I meant it, like, ‘What kind of person would say something stupid like that?’ Fortunately, his Television Ratings are so low that no one will ever find out about his various Fake News statements about me. He’s no different than Kimmel, Fallon, or Colbert, but I have to admit, he’s a little more talented! Anyway, Bill Maher is a hugely overrated LIGHT and Republicans should stop using him.” To show how the Left gets in our way – The Greatest Base of All Time laughs at your weakness when you do this! Maher asked me if he could come back to the White House again, and he asked to come to the wonderful White House Christmas Party, but he didn’t come. No matter what, I’d rather MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN than waste my time on it. There is nothing that can be done to save him from this very serious illness, thank you Mayor DJT for your attention to this little matter!
Maher dined with Trump at the White House in April during a visit organized by Kid Rock, a longtime supporter of the president. Maher described Trump as “kind and measured” and “much more conscious than he lets on in public.”
He also said he still “doesn’t have a good feeling” about the Trump administration and will criticize a lot of things it does, “but I also think he understands that I have a job to do now.”
Maher’s spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
