Hugh Jackman and Deborah-Lee Furness slash $14m off New York penthouse as it struggles to sell after split

Hugh Jackman has slashed the price of his luxury New York penthouse by a whopping $14 million at a time when the A-list property is struggling to sell.
The Wolverine star has relisted the sprawling West Village home he owns with ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness for $41.67 million, down from its original asking price of $56.38 million.
Despite its illustrious past, the high-end triplex has failed to attract buyers since it first hit the market in 2022.
Located inside a glass-fronted building designed by the famous architect Richard Meier, the three-storey apartment spans approximately 1000 square meters on three floors.
It offers dramatic double-height living space with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Hudson River, a spiral staircase, multiple terraces, and panoramic views stretching to the Statue of Liberty.

The home features four en-suite bedrooms, a library, relaxation areas, a professional-quality kitchen and an entire top-floor master suite complete with sauna, dressing rooms and private studio.
But ongoing eye-watering costs may be putting buyers off; monthly expenses total $318,879, including more than $68,124 in strata fees.
Jackman and Furness purchased the penthouse in 2008 for $30.43 million and have been shedding some of their real estate portfolio since their split in 2023, after nearly 30 years together.

Jackman has since announced his new relationship with The Music Man co-star Sutton Foster, and the pair are reportedly living in the penthouse.
New Idea revealed in 2025 that Jackman and Foster were taking up residence in the flat while they searched for the “perfect family home.”
A source said Foster was reluctant to live in the home Jackman shared with his ex-wife.
“Sutton is still nervous about taking that big step into Hugh’s world,” they said.
It was later reported that Furness was “shattered” to have Jackman and Foster in the penthouse.
“Deb was shattered to discover Sutton had made the loft hers – the place she poured her soul into,” a source told Sky News.
