Darwin Nunez transfer: Liverpool striker joins Saudi Pro League team Al-Hilal

Al-Hilal signed Uruguay striker Darwin Nunez from Liverpool.

The Saudi Pro League made an agreement on 53 million euros (£ 46.3 million) for the 26 -year -old.

In June 2022, Nunez joined Liverpool for the first wage of £ 64 million from Benfica, the Portuguese side.

He scored 40 goals in 143 matches for Reds, but last season championship campaigns began only eight Premier League matches.

A Liverpool statement wrote: “Everyone in the club wants to thank Darwin for their contributions and wish him the best for him and his family.”

Nunez’s separation increased Liverpool’s chance to sign Swedish striker Alexander Isak and rejected the opening offer of £ 110 million.
