Washington (Reuters) -Former President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden said that his father’s performance against President Donald Trump, the democrat’s performance that led to a presidential candidate, was the result of taking Ambien because of his trip.

“And I’m going to tell you what happened, I know exactly what happened in this discussion.

Hunter Biden said, “They give him ambi to him to sleep. He stands on the stage and looks like a deer in the headlights.”

Ambien is a drug used for short -term treatment of sleep problems. Joe Biden’s office did not respond immediately to the request for comments late on Monday.

The former President was prepared in Camp David for a few days for the discussion. Before the Democrat Camp entered David, he made two European trips and was on the US western coast to collect one donation.

The former president’s debate performance against the then Republican Presidential candidate Trump triggered a reaction to Biden’s nomination for the 2024 elections, where Democratic struggles to finish his thoughts.

After a month after June 27, 2024, the debate was withdrawn as a presidential candidate after following Trump in Biden polls. Former Vice President Kamala Harris later became a candidate for the Democrats and continued to lose Trump in the November elections.

In the following days, the former president accused the debate performance in Jet Lag after two overseas trip at the beginning of that month.

In an interview published on Monday, Hunter Biden expressed disappointment with democratic voices, strategists and deputies who abandoned his father’s candidacy following the discussion.
