I-81 SB closed after multi-vehicle crash in Lackawanna County
GREENFIELD TOWNSHIP, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU)— A portion of Interstate 81 South is closed following a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday evening in the middle of holiday travel.
According to the Lackawanna County Communications Center, a crash occurred between Exit 202: PA 107 – Tompkinsville/Fleetville and Exit 201: PA 438 – East Benton just before 5:30 p.m.

Authorities said several people were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to PA 511, all lanes in that area are closed and are expected to open at 8 p.m.
Greenfield Township is handling the crash.
The severity of the injuries and how many vehicles were involved in the accident are not yet known.
