‘I am Cornish, not English,’ MP declares as he urges people from Cornwall to be proud of identity

A worker deputy declared that he was “not English, not Cornish ve and called on people from Cornwall to be“ loud and proud ”from his identity.
Perran Moon, who spoke to the House of Commons during a discussion about the British Revolution and Society Empowerment Law, said that he was “mocked” because he described himself as Cornish.
Camborne and Redruth deputy Moon then called on the government to respect the Cornwall status of the revolution plans.
During the second reading of the bill, he told Commons: “Do I often see myself in English even as a Cornishman by his colleagues in this place?
“Hundreds of thousands of Cornish men and women, unfortunately I often mock for my answer. So let’s be clear today, I’m not British.

“If I freely admit that some of my best friends are English.
“And at home, especially to young people who are equally ridiculed: be loud and proud.
“It’s okay to see yourself as Cornish and British.”
“During this bill, I will work with the government to accept this bill, which respects the status of Cornish national minority and offers a historical revolution that fulfills our manifesto commitment.
“We need to reveal the Cornish Celtic tiger, an arrangement of a revolution that provides economic development support.
“A regulation of a revolution that gives us financing and resources to cope with our disability housing crisis. Cornish is a revolutionary agreement celebrating the national minority status.
“This is not only on the mind, but for us, this is not only about functional local government, but our souls are much deeper.
“This is a century -old desire for the increasing autonomy and self -governance desire in our place on this multinational island.
