India, US Keep Channels Open Amid Tariff Row

New Delhi: Government sources said on Wednesday that communication channels between India and the United States remained open and efforts will continue to solve the ongoing tariff problem. The US government started a total of 50 percent tariffs for exports to India, blocking several sectors starting on Wednesday.

Sources, “Considering the diversified nature of Indian exports (tariffs) is not likely to be as severe as they are afraid.” He said.

Sources also stressed that there is no reason for panic when it comes to exporters, and that “a temporary stage in a long -term relationship between India and the United States.”
