‘I was heartbroken when popular shop closed in 2021 but it’s back’

There’s nothing quite like the heartbreak of seeing one of your favorite shops close, and we’ve lost a few high street stores in recent years. Many department stores have closed recently, from Woolworths to Debenhams, but while a host has disappeared from the high street, some still appear online for shoppers to browse.

One of my favorite stores of 2021 closed its doors after going into administration a year ago. Because I spent my youth and early adulthood wandering the store’s aisles, half a decade later I can still see the effortlessly stacked racks of clothing and smell the fresh fabric.

Maybe that’s why I’m so excited it’s reopened its doors. It was recently confirmed to have arrived at John Lewis, at least in some form.

I was devastated when Topshop, where I had been a fashion retailer for years, disappeared. The brand probably helped shape my fashion choices and encouraged me to try all kinds of different looks as I grew up.

It was recently announced that the Topshop range will now be stocked in all 32 John Lewis branches, while Topman will be on display in seven locations. The product range includes approximately 130 of the brand’s most sought-after products, especially its well-known denim lines.

Online shoppers will be thrilled to know that Topshop is now also available on the John Lewis website, and all it takes is a quick glance to quickly dive into nostalgia.

It’s truly like stepping back in time when you look at what’s on offer. Pastel tones, effortless designs, casual but super stylish knitwear; There is so much to love about clothes.

While we may never see the flagship store on London’s Oxford Street again, it at least gives a glimpse of what it once was and could help many of us fill the gap in our wardrobes over the years.

This takes me back to my local Topshop, where I rummage through each shelf until I find something I know will be a great addition to my fashion collection. Even the iconic denim line is back and that’s enough to get everyone excited.

For those who haven’t grown up with the brand in their lives, be prepared because your shopping habits may be about to change. It looks like Topshop is back with a bang.

Another good advantage of Topshop in my opinion is that the price range has always been pretty good and this seems to be reflected in what’s available today. You wouldn’t call it budget shopping, but the items aren’t overpriced either.

Since the prices are quite moderate, you can feel safe and stylish with a reasonable budget. You’ll always find the odd piece that requires a little more investment, but that’s to be expected with more elaborate garments.

It’s clear that I’m not the only one excited about this news, as social media is also full of people expressing their excitement. One of the things that always puts people in a good mood is the thought of shopping.

One person wrote: “Ahhh I love this! HOW EXCITING.” Another added: “Pure joy knowing this wonderful news.”

A third replied: “Oh my god. I’m screaming, I’m crying, I’m vomiting.” Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “Yes! Back to real life. Love it.”
