IAF conducts joint exercise with U.K.’s carrier strike group in Indian Ocean

The Indian Air Force (IAF) conducted a high-intensity joint exercise with the United Kingdom’s Carrier Strike Group (CSG) over the Indian Ocean Region on Tuesday, 14 October 2025.
The exercise involved Royal Navy F-35B fighter jets from HMS Prince of Wales, as well as IAF Sukhoi-30 MKIs, Jaguars, AWACS and AEW&C aircraft.
The exercise aimed to improve interoperability, mutual trust and operational coordination between the two forces, reaffirming their shared commitment to regional security and stability.
The Indian Air Force posted on Education strengthened interoperability, mutual trust, and collective commitment to regional stability.
This air exercise followed the successful completion of the Naval Phase of the bilateral naval exercise KONKAN 25 between the Indian Navy and the Royal Navy on 8 October. During KONKAN 25, both navies conducted a wide range of complex naval operations, including tactical air warfare, air defense, anti-surface and anti-submarine warfare, and en route replenishment.
