Ian Thorpe urges Mollie O’Callaghan to push ahead to Brisbane 2032 Olympics
O’Callaghan is already in rare weather, along with Thorpe (11), at the top of the gold medal installment of all times in Australia’s world championships, Grant Hackett (10), Libby Trickett (8), Michael Climate (7) and Leisel Jones (7).
Thorpe, who spoke to this Masthead among Kanal 9’s interpretation tasks, congratulated O’Callaghan and summarized what is what makes him so special.

O’Callaghan, who was 21 years old in April, competed as a 17 -year -old child at his first Olympics in Tokyo before winning the hymen championship in Budapest the following year.
In 2022 and 2023, he bought 100 meters free style gold and 200m free style gold in 2023 and again this week.
Thorpe demanded three gold and two silver in a home match and won 400m free style gold as a 15 -year -old child in 1998 World Championships before he became the hero of the Australian Olympics.

O’Callaghan was born in Brisbane in 2004 and the Olympics will be 28 when he came to Australia in his own town.
“I hope to see that Mollie continues for a home Olympic games, Thor said Thorpe, Thorpe. “Many athletes to experience this – existing ones and we really do not know – I want.
“The events may be slightly different, but when it comes to an Olympic at home, there is an enormous feed to do this. He will not know if he wants three more years.”

Elsewhere, Australia’s 4x200m Free Style Relay team, Flynn Southam, Charlie Hawke, Kai Taylor and Max Giuliani (7: 00.98), while the US continued with the end of Docal Relay, the Great Britain (6: 59.84) and China (7: 00.91).
Giuliani said, “We are a very young team… And I think 2028 bride, we will be a real force to consider,” he said.
Cam Mcevoy and Kaylee McKkeown entered the 50m free style and 200m background finals in front of things that broke a box office records on Saturday night.
The finals start from 21:00 Aest.

Mcevoy, a new father, watched 21.30 in the semifinals and said that he was “quite good” because he took into account another world championship after his groundbreaking win in 2023.
“It shows that I am quite well, Mce Mcevoy said. “It was almost better than mine [winning] Paris time [21.25].
He will spend a tour on the morning with a tour Call of Duty – “Good for the nervous system” – before releasing the maximum speed.
McKEown, 2: 03.14 outside the world record, 2: 08.36 semi -final time after releasing the six Lane will start.
