New Year supermarket opening hours for Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Aldi, Lidl and more

As 2026 approaches, many people will be stocking up on essential New Year’s treats and foods for the first week of the year.

As you fill your cart today and tomorrow, you can expect the shopping aisles to be packed with families and packed carts; Many stores operate at different opening hours during this time of the year.

For example, most major supermarkets were closed on Christmas Day, and some would be closed on January 1.
