Iconic LDS Church temple in San Diego offering once-in-a-generation public access

(FOX 5/KUSI) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced Open house dates for the San Diego Temple later this yeargiving the public a rare opportunity to enter the iconic building.
The church made the announcement this weekWith information about similar opportunities at a renovated temple in Cambodia.

San Diego Shrine Closed since July 2023 due to extensive renovations.
It will be open to the public for several days before the rededication, giving the lay community the opportunity to see the inside of one of the churches. Sacred buildings of the church.

Tours will begin June 15-17 for invited guests and media. These will be followed by public tours from June 18 to July 11, excluding Sundays.
The dedication of the temple will be held on Sunday, August 23. After the dedication, standard practice means that only members of the Church can enter.
A. A church representative told FOX 5/KUSI in 2022 that the public is always welcome to explore the grounds, admire the temple from outside, and take photographs.
